As Palestinians mark the second day of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which puts an end to the holy fasting month of Ramadan, new Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip kill more than two dozen people, including children.
The official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that three civilians were killed on Monday after Israeli forces targeted an area at al-Masdar village in central Gaza.
Two more people lost their lives and a number of others were injured as Israeli warplanes struck a group of individuals east of Jabalia.
A child was also injured when an Israeli remote-controlled quadcopter dropped a bomb in the yard of a United Nations-linked school at the Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip, where forcibly displaced Palestinians are sheltering.
Additionally, four people were killed and several others injured when Israeli forces bombed a house belonging to the Maqdad family in Khan Yunis refugee camp at dawn.
Another two civilians lost their lives and a number of others, including children, were injured in the bombardment of a family home in the Wadi Saber neighborhood of the town of Abasan al-Kabira in the southern Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, Israeli military attacks in central Gaza’s Az-Zawayda and Maghazi refugee camps have killed at least two people and injured others, according to local sources.
Six citizens were martyred late on Sunday when Israeli occupation forces struck a residential building near the Tahlia roundabout in central Khan Yunis.
On Sunday evening, nine citizens, including a couple and their three children, were killed and several others injured when the Israeli military bombed a residential apartment at Hamad City in northwestern Khan Yunis.
There are reports of endless artillery shelling in the central parts of the Gaza Strip, in Nuseirat refugee camp, and also in the area very close to the so-called Netzarim Corridor.
Explosions have been heard in Deir el-Balah, where three farmers have been killed.
According to the Civil Defense teams and paramedics, it is very dangerous to go and retrieve their bodies.
This comes as at least 64 Palestinians were killed on the first day of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
The Palestinian Hamas resistance movement has strongly condemned Israel’s killing of civilians on Eid, including children in their festive clothes.
It stated that such an approach reveals Israel’s “fascism and its denial of any human or moral values.”
The Israeli army launched a surprise aerial assault on the Gaza Strip on March 18, killing over 920 people, injuring more than 2,000 others, and shattering the ceasefire agreement with Hamas and the deal on the exchange of Israeli captives for Palestinian prisoners.
According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, more than 50,200 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and over 114,000 other individuals injured in the brutal Israeli military onslaught on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
