Is Egypt an existential threat to Zionist colony?

Has the Zionist policy in the West Asia region changed from propping up client states to actually aiming for full demilitarization of its supposed borders?

Since the Israeli backed overthrow of the Syrian government, Israel has carried out 1000s of strikes on Syrian military facilities, thus handicapping the new Daesh-linked regime Israel helped bring into existence.

Of course, Julani and his sectarian goons have remained basically silent on the Zionist raids and violations of Syrian sovereignty.

Israeli leaders have been clear that the land that they have occupied in Syria will be permanently annexed and absorbed into the Zionist entity. Hints are also beginning to emerge that the big target for Israel in this map-changing policy will be Egypt.

Former Israeli chief of staff Herzi Halevi went on record publicly, stating, "We are worried about Egypt. They have a very advanced army, and the situation could turn against us at any moment. In 2011 the regime changed, and we were on the verge of being attacked."

Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, also bitterly complained about the Egyptian military buildup in the formerly Israeli occupied Sinai. He charged that post October 7, any Egyptian mobilization should raise alarm bells.

"They spend hundreds of millions of dollars on modern military equipment every year, yet they have no threats on their borders", Danon told an Israeli radio station. "Why do they need all these submarines and tanks? After October 7, this should raise alarm bells. We have learnt our lesson. We must monitor Egypt closely and prepare for every scenario."

He also said that despite the surrender treaty between Egypt and Israel, the Arab state is still culturally opposed to Zionism. This was, of course, clear in May 2024 when an Israeli Mossad linked businessman Ziv Kipper, who had been staying in Alexandria, was assassinated.

The shooter pointed a gun at Kipper and announced "Shalom from Gaza Children", before firing eight shots into the Israeli agent.

The group responsible named themselves the Mohammed Salah brigade, after the Egyptian soldier who crossed into the Zionist entity and killed three Israeli police in June 2023 before being killed himself.

The anti-Zionist instinct still exists in the Egyptian army, and Israel is right to fear it.

There certainly seems to be confusion in Israeli-Egyptian relations, with the Israeli ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, going on record stating "Egypt is building offensive military bases, and we have turned a blind eye for a long time, but this continues. It is a clear violation. This is an issue we will bring to the table in the near future".

In a curious turn of events, the video of these comments was removed from the internet by Israeli administration pages.

Brigadier General Itamar Ben-Haim, commander of the IOF's 80th division, has reassured Israelis living near the Egyptian border that they need not be afraid. A recording of his comments was leaked to the Israeli newspaper website Ynet. He said, "The scenario in which the Egyptian army launches an attack in this area, we are not preparing for it because we do not believe it is a realistic scenario in the immediate future."

While there are rumors of an Egyptian military buildup in the Sinai, whether to prevent Palestinians escaping Gaza, or to repulse a Zionist incursion, it is unclear whether this military buildup has actually taken place.

According to the Israeli Egyptian surrender agreement, coordination for the mobilization of Egyptian tanks to the Sinai must happen with the Multinational Force and Observers based there, also known as MFO, which consists of 1,100 soldiers, almost 50% of whom are US soldiers.

Footage did emerge in 2024 of the Egyptian government seemingly constructing internment camps, possibly for containing Palestinians, if driven from Gaza. This led to rumors that the preparations were being made on the Egyptian side to absorb the Palestinians and facilitate Israel's annexation of Gaza.

The position of Egypt on the Zionist war for so-called "Greater Israel" remains unclear.
