Israel resumes Gaza genocide
The Israeli military has resumed its deadly airstrikes on Gaza after the regime announced the end of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas. Israel’s fresh airstrikes targeted Palestinian homes and other residential buildings in Gaza City and the southern city of Khan Yunis. Nearly 110 Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed in the attacks, with scores of others injured. Reports say some 100 Israeli warplanes were involved in the latest bombing of Gaza. The renewed attacks came after the Tel Aviv regime accused Hamas of failing to reach an agreement with Israel to extend the ceasefire agreement, which entered into force in January. Hamas has repeatedly called on Israel to implement the second phase of the truce deal. This is while the Israeli military has blocked the entry of food and humanitarian aid into Gaza, in blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement.
US aggression against Yemen
The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement has warned of greater escalation if the United States continues its aggression against the Arab country. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said Yemen is currently confronting American aggression by targeting its aircraft carriers, warships, and naval vessels. He stressed, however, that the Yemeni armed forces will increase the intensity of their attacks if Washington chooses to continue its aggression. The Houthi said the US aircraft carrier Harry Truman fled to the far north of the Red Sea, after it was attacked by Yemeni armed forces. He also lauded the mass protests held by the Yemeni people in response to US aggression, saying they sent a message to the deranged US president. Houthi also addressed the Israeli blockade on Gaza, describing it as a grave act of aggression and a horrific crime that cannot be ignored. He stressed that the ban on Israeli shipping is just the first step, warning that Yemen will not stand idly by if famine in Gaza worsens.
Slamming US accusations
Iran has strongly condemned recent accusations by senior officials of US President Donald Trump's administration as entirely baseless and without credibility. Iran's UN Ambassador, Amir Saied Iravani, made the comment in a letter to the UN chief and the president of the Security Council. Iravani noted that US officials’ anti-Iran rhetoric constitutes a blatant violation of fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter. He warned that any act of aggression against Iran will have severe consequences, for which the US will bear full responsibility. Iravani urged the Security Council to clearly denounce such inflammatory statements. The Iranian diplomat also condemned the recent military aggression and unlawful use of force against Yemen by the US and UK. Iravani said such actions flagrantly violate Yemen's sovereignty and territorial integrity, contravene international law, and pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability. He said Yemeni forces operate independently in their decision-making and actions, and their operations are conducted in support of Gaza and in response to violations of their country’s territorial integrity.
