33 Zionist captives killed because of ‘criminal Netanyahu, his fascist army’: Hamas

Frame grab from a video released by Hamas on December 2, 2024, shows a picture of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next to texts in Arabic and Hebrew reading, “33 Zionist captives were killed and some have gone missing because of the criminal Netanyahu and his fascist army.”

Hamas says the death toll among those who were taken captive by the Gaza Strip’s resistance movements and taken to the coastal sliver last year, has risen to 33 as a result of intense Israeli attacks against Gaza and the resistance’s reaction to the Israeli regime’s ongoing war of genocide on the territory.

The Palestinian resistance group announced the information in a video message on Monday, saying the deaths had been caused and some other captives had gone missing “because of the criminal Netanyahu and his fascist army.”

“By continuing your insane war, you may lose your captives forever. Do what you must do before it is too late,” the movement warned.

“The captives of the occupation died in Gaza due to the stubbornness of the war criminal Netanyahu and his continued aggression.”

The footage went on to show many Israeli assaults on Gaza that had killed the captives in various parts of the territory, including in Gaza City’s Shuja'iyya neighborhood and the city of Jabalia in the northern part of the coastal sliver, where as many as seven captives were killed amid Israeli aggression.

Hamas cautioned once again that “the intransigence of the criminal Netanyahu and the continuation of the aggression raise the death toll of enemy captives.”

‘You killed my friends’

Towards its end, the video incorporated angry remarks by three female captives, who blamed Netanyahu for their ordeal and the deaths of their fellow captives.

"The whole time, I am living under fire, attacks, bombing, and tanks. I run from place to place," one said.

"You even almost killed me at one time with your bombing," noted another.

"You, you are the ones who killed my friends," a third captive said.

The first captive is then seen addressing the Israeli premier and saying, "I feel embarrassment and disgrace from you."

"Where are you now?" asks the second one, while the third one is seen saying, "Come out to the streets…We've lost enough in this war."

Those pictured in the footage were among more than 230 Zionists, whom Gaza’s resistance movements captured last October in a historic operation, which was staged in retaliation for the regime’s decades-long deadly aggression against Palestinians.

The regime brought the entire Gaza under a war of genocide afterwards. The brutal military onslaught has so far claimed the lives of at least 44,466 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

The Israeli premier has vowed to sustain the onslaught until Hamas’ “elimination,” a prospect that has been ruled out as impossible by the group and even some Israeli officials and Tel Aviv’s own allies.

Back in June, Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari, himself, asserted, “Whoever thinks we can eliminate Hamas is wrong,” adding, “Hamas is an idea, Hamas is a party. It’s rooted in the hearts of the people.”
