Israeli war on Lebanon

There is no end in sight to the Israeli onslaught on Lebanon. The regime’s warplanes have once again pounded Beirut, leaving a trail of death and destruction. Five missiles of the regime struck a residential area in the southern suburb of Dahiyeh in the early hours of Saturday, killing at least 8 people. An eight-story building was completely destroyed. At least 23 people also have been injured. The casualties may rise as the regime used bunker-buster bombs in the attack and many people are believed to be under the rubble. Reports also say that an Israeli drone hit a vehicle in Beirut as well. Meanwhile, the Lebanese authorities accused Israel of series of deliberate attacks on health facilities, resulting in the killing of a hospital director and 6 medical staffers. The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since October last year has now climbed to nearly 3,650, with over 15,300 injured.

US-Israel Gaza genocide

Palestinians in Gaza have woken up to more deadly Israeli attacks as the regime’s military continues to pound areas across the blockaded territory. In a latest strike, at least three Palestinians were killed and several others injured after Israeli warplanes bombed the Buraq area in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. Israeli airstrike near Rafah, also in southern Gaza caused fatalities. To the south of Gaza City, several Palestinian civilians were killed after Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in the Zaytoun neighborhood. Israeli artillery shelling also hit several areas across the territory, leaving an unknown number of Palestinians dead and injured. The Israeli aggression began in October last year. Since then, more than 44,000 people have been killed and over 104,000 others injured.

Rejecting US-UK accusations

Iran’s permanent ambassador to the United Nations has categorically rejected US and UK allegations against Iran over the Ukraine war and regional tensions. In a letter to the president of UN Security Council, Amir Saeed Iravani slammed Washington and London for what he called baseless accusations against Iran. Iravani said the two countries have been enabling Israel's atrocities while evading their own responsibilities with blame-game. He said US vetoes have paralyzed the Security Council and allowed Israel to act with impunity in the region. Iravani also pointed to the UK's colonial policies behind the creation of Israel, stating that it laid the groundwork for injustice and violence across the region. Iravani also dismissed western accusations, implicating Tehran in the Ukraine war. The EU and the UK recently sanctioned Iran’s shipping and aviation sectors under the pretext that Iran supplied arms to Russia, a claim Tehran has vehemently denied.
