The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement says the Israeli military has failed against resistance fighters, citing the regime's resort to forced displacement of Gazans.
In a televised speech on Thursday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said the Zionist enemy had perpetrated more than 30 massacres throughout the week, killing or injuring more than 1,300 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
“The Israeli enemy, failing in military confrontation and unable to achieve its declared goals, has resorted to a criminal approach of widespread targeting of civilians,” he said.
The Ansarullah chief expressed deep regret over the inaction of Arab and Muslim nations, saying it attests to their dire moral, humanitarian and religious bankruptcy.
Houthi said Israeli troops are perpetrating the most heinous atrocities in the northern Gaza Strip.
“They are exercising the policy of starvation in order to subjugate the local population after having failed during military battles against Palestinian resistance fighters. Gaza-based combatants have inflicted heavy blows on the Zionist entity.”
Some Arab regimes, he said, don’t believe yet in the terrorist nature of Israel despite all the horrific crimes that the regime has committed in the occupied Palestinian lands and elsewhere.
“The Zionist project targets the entire Muslim and Arab world. Israel seeks to exert absolute dominance over the West Asia region,” Houthi said.
“Once Muslims begin fulfilling their obligations towards Palestinians, God will support them.”
Meanwhile, international institutions have done nothing for Palestine since its occupation in 1948, he said, adding they are just a part of the Western hegemony.
The Ansarullah chief touched on the outcome of the US presidential race, which gave Donald Trump another term in the White House, saying successive US presidents have been in the service of the Israeli enemy and the Zionist project.
“The outcome of US election won’t affect our principled positions in support of Gaza. Neither Trump nor [outgoing president Joe] Biden can dissuade us from our firm position in supporting the Palestinian nation,” Houthi said.
He said the region has already experienced Trump’s presidency, knowing he is only after making money.
“Trump views rich Arab countries as cash cow, and regards the poor as miserable. He has worked hard to make some Arab regimes serve Israel.
“Trump will fail to subjugate Muslims no matter how much sedition he stirs up,” Houthi said.
The Ansarullah chief also said Lebanon's Hezbollah has recovered from the martyrdom of its leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike on September 27, adding the group's intensified operations are a testimony to this fact.
“Israel is awefuly surprised by the level of Hezbollah’s operational capabilities and the scope of its painful military attacks,” he said.
Houthi also hailed “effective and influential” operations by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, despite being under considerable political and propaganda pressures.
“The Zionist regime is in a difficult situation in spite of persistence in committing horrendous crimes,” he said.
Houthi underscored that Yemenis will stand firm on the path to support Palestinians, vowing that Yemeni armed forces will not stop their anti-Israeli operations as long as Gaza and Lebanon are under attack.
He called upon all walks of Yemeni society to take to the streets across the country on Friday and participate in massive pro-Palestine rallies.
“Yemen’s millions-strong rallies send a message to the United States and all other tyrants of the world,” the Ansarullah leader said.
