Hezbollah retaliation 

The Hezbollah resistance movement continues its retaliatory operations against Israel, targeting the regime’s military bases and settlements deep inside the occupied territories.In one of its latest operations, the group’s drones directly hit the Belo base for Israel’s paratroopers south of Tel Aviv, Hezbollah, also for the first time, launched a drone strike on the Israeli Navy’s Haifa Base, which houses a fleet of missile boats and submarines in Haifa Bay, hitting the targets accurately. The Zevulun military industries base north of Haifa was also hit with a rocket barrage. A naval base northwest of Haifa, and the Nahal Ger Shom headquarters for the Galilee Division 91 of Israel’s Northern Command were also among the targets. In other operations, Hezbollah hit gatherings of Israeli forces in several settlements, including Kiryat Shmona, Avivim, and Metulla, with barrages of rockets.

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza 

Israel’s fresh air and artillery strikes continue to pound Gaza, with civilians bearing the brunt of the regime’s genocide in the blockaded territory. In one of the deadliest strikes, several people, including a father and his two sons, were killed after Israeli warplanes struck a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. To the north, an Israeli air raid targeted civilians in the Tal al-Zaatar area, killing at least five Palestinians. The northern Gaza has been the focus of Israeli attacks for more than a month now. The regime has also imposed a siege on the area, worsening an already-dire humanitarian situation there. To the south, several Palestinians lost their lives after Israeli fighter jets bombed a number of areas in the cities of Khan Yunis and Rafah. The war on Gaza has claimed the lives of nearly 43,400 civilians, leaving more than 102,300 others injured. 

US presidential election 

In the United States, defeated Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has publicly conceded her loss to president-elect Donald Trump, urging her supporters to keep fighting for their ideals. Harris said she concedes this election, but does not concede the fight that fueled this campaign. She added that she knows many people feel like they are entering a dark time, hoping that would not be the case. This, after Trump scored a massive political comeback, becoming the first person convicted of a felony to win the White House, and the first former president to regain power since 1892. Trump secured 292 Electoral College votes, surpassing the 270 needed to win the election. Harris only got 226 votes after losing the key battleground states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia. Meanwhile, the Republican Party has reclaimed control of Senate, ending two years of Democratic leadership.
