Hezbollah hits Israeli military bases, rockets and drones in retaliation

Rockets fired from Lebanon made direct impact in Yarka, western Jalil region, following the latest barrage from Lebanon towards “Karmiel” on October 31, 2024.

Hezbollah has inflicted more losses on invading Israeli troops while targeting the regime’s military positions and settlements across the northern occupied territories.

In a series of statements on Thursday, the resistance group said a barrage of rockets and artillery shells hit a group of Israeli soldiers in the southern Lebanese city of Khiam in the early hours of this morning.

The resistance fighters also targeted for the second time a gathering of Israeli "enemy forces" south of the Khiam area with an artillery shell.

Hezbollah in a separate attack targeted a gathering of Israeli forces in the settlement of Yiftah with a rocket barrage, it stated.

The fighters targeted the "Yarka" warehouses east of the city of Akka with a large rocket barrage.

The fighters also bombed the settlement of Karmiel with a large rocket barrage. The Israeli military confirmed that around 30 rockets were launched by the resistance group toward Karmiel and neighboring towns in northern occupied territories.

Hours apart, a series of barrages from Lebanon struck northern occupied territories on Thursday, killing a total of seven settlers. The attacks marked the deadliest strikes to hit Israel since its military invaded southern Lebanon earlier this month.

Meanwhile, the military said it shot down an unmanned aircraft that crossed from Lebanon into the western Galilee region at around 1:30 am local time. Several projectiles were detected in the upper Galilee at around the same time, but they fell in open areas, it said.

The developments came as Lebanese media reported that a drone had exploded in Nahariya, the northernmost city in the occupied territories.

Earlier, the military said an unmanned aircraft had crossed “from the east” into the occupied Golan Heights.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq had earlier claimed three drone attacks on Israel, including on the occupied Golan Heights, while Hezbollah claimed four attacks on Israeli positions on Wednesday evening.

Hezbollah says its ongoing operations are in support of the Palestinian people and in defense of Lebanon.

Since October 2023, Israel has killed over 2,700 people in Lebanon. Most of them have lost their lives in the past month amid the intensified airstrikes and a ground offensive.

Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with retaliatory operations, targeting the occupied territories.

The Lebanese Resistance movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the regime continues its campaign of genocide in Gaza, which has so far killed more than 43,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
