Response to Israel aggression
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has warned that Israel will surely face unfathomable and bitter consequences over its recent act of aggression against the country. IRGC chief Major General Hossein Salami says the regime failed to achieve, in his words, the vicious objectives of its illegal move. Salami says the regime failed thanks to the readiness of the Iranian army’s air defense forces. The general further said the act of aggression was a miscalculation and showed the Israeli desperation in the face of the resistance front, especially in Gaza and Lebanon. He made the comments in a message to Iranian Army Chief Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi. In this message, Salami offered his condolences over the deaths of four air defense personnel in the Israeli air strikes. The regime’s Saturday attacks also took the life of a civilian.
US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
The Israeli regime presses ahead with its relentless bombardment of the besieged Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll of Palestinians to around 43,000 since October last year. The northern Gaza is still the focal point of the regime’s genocidal campaign. To the center of the strip Israeli forces targeted two refugee camps, killing and injuring several Palestinians. Several areas of the Gaza City were also hit.
Hezbollah retaliatory operations
The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has launched a fresh round of retaliatory attacks against several Israeli military positions. In the northern occupied territory, the resistance group says its fighters have targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers near the occupied towns of al Manara and Margaliot. Meanwhile, according to the Israeli media, sirens were sounded in several northern cities after Hezbollah fired a barrage of rockets at the towns of Metula and Kiryat Shmona. Hezbollah also says its air defense units confronted Israeli warplanes and a Hermes-900 drone with surface-to-air missiles and forced them to leave the Lebanese airspace. The group says the attacks are in support of the Palestinian people and in defense of Lebanon.
