X suspends Ayatollah Khamenei’s Hebrew-language account

The Hebrew-language account of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei posted a message saying, “The Zionist regime made a mistake. It erred in its calculations on Iran. We will cause it to understand the power, ability, initiative, and will of the Iranian nation.”

The social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has suspended the Hebrew-language account of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

A note on the account, tagged as @Khamenei_Heb, said it had been suspended for allegedly violating the X rules.

The measure came hours after the account posted a message saying, “The Zionist regime made a mistake. It erred in its calculations on Iran. We will cause it to understand the power, ability, initiative, and will of the Iranian nation.”

The message followed a terrorist Israeli assault on Iran amid the regime’s bloody two-front aggression against the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

X is owned by Elon Musk, a tech mogul who supports the occupying regime. It had already banned accounts linked to Ayatollah Khamenei.

In February, Ayatollah Khamenei’s Facebook and Instagram accounts were removed by Meta, an American company that runs and owns the two platforms.

The move came following months of incessant campaigning by pro-Israeli groups, which are known for wielding immense influence and interfering in major decision-making processes across the United States, the Israeli regime’s biggest ally.

Since October 7, 2023, when Israel launched a devastating genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, Meta has systematically targeted and removed pro-Palestinian content from its platforms, including Instagram and Facebook.

The company has censored hundreds of instances of such content amid growing calls by Palestinians’ supporters for cessation of the military onslaught that has so far claimed the lives of close to 43,000 people, mostly women and children.

Despite this targeted crackdown, Instagram and Facebook have notably refrained from censoring any accounts owned by Israeli officials.

These individuals have been actively advocating for an intensification of the military aggression against Palestinians, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza.

Their calls for continued aggression until “victory” is achieved have gone unchecked, raising serious questions about Meta’s content moderation policies and potential bias in the ongoing war against Palestinians.
