New phase of resistance

The Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, says it is launching a new and escalatory phase in its anti-Israel operations in response to the regime’s aggression against the Arab country. Hezbollah said in a statement that it has intensified strikes on Israeli settlements and military bases, using precision-guided missiles for the first time. The resistance group is fighting Israel as the regime has escalated airstrikes and continues a ground offensive against Lebanon. In the latest retaliatory operations, Hezbollah launched at least 15 missiles at Haifa, setting off sirens. The group also destroyed 20 Israeli Merkava tanks, four military bulldozers and two surveillance drones. Hezbollah says 55 Israeli soldiers have been killed and more than 500 injured since the start of the regime’s ground incursion into Lebanon on October 1.

US-Israel genocide in Gaza

Israel has bombed different areas across the Gaza Strip, killing more Palestinian civilians. The latest airstrikes have hit Gaza City as well as Shati and Jabalia refugee camps, both in north of the strip. Multiple Palestinians have been confirmed dead. But, the exact number is unclear. The Jabalia refugee camp also remains under Israeli siege for 14 straight days now. That has blocked civilians’ access to food and medicine. Israel waged its war on Gaza in October last year. So far, over 42,400 people have been killed in Gaza. More than 99,000 others have been injured. In the meantime, Israel claims that it has killed Hamas political leader Yahya Sinwar in a Wednesday attack on Gaza. Hamas has not confirmed his martyrdom yet.

'No arms sales to Israel'

Demonstrators have taken to the streets of the Dutch city of Utrecht to voice support for the people of Palestine and Lebanon. The protesters called on the Dutch government to stop arms sales to Israel. The protesters expressed frustration that the tax they pay is used to aid Israel in its atrocities. They chanted slogans, demanding an end to the war on Gaza and Lebanon. The protest in Utrecht is the latest in global rallies that have been held in the past months. People in different countries say Israel must be pressured to end its aggression against Gaza, and now Lebanon.
