New phase of resistance

The Hezbollah resistance movement says it is launching a new and escalatory phase in its operations against Israel, the details of which will be revealed in the coming days. Issuing a statement, the group said it has intensified missile strikes on Israeli settlements and military bases, using precision-guided missiles for the first time. Hezbollah added that it is also intensifying drone strikes on Israeli targets deep inside the occupied territories, using assault drones, including some advanced models, for the first time. The group said its air defenses have been able to down two Israeli Hermes 450 drones that violated Lebanese airspace. Hezbollah said its ground forces have also intensified attacks on invading Israeli troops, blocking their infiltration efforts and destroying their equipment. The group said about 55 Israeli troops, including officers, have been killed so far, and over 500 others wounded. In addition, 20 Merkava tanks and four military bulldozers have been destroyed so far.

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

In a number of the latest attacks, Israeli airstrikes and shelling killed a dozen civilians in various neighborhoods of Gaza City. In central Gaza, three civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Deir al-Balah. Over a dozen Palestinians lost their lives following Israeli shelling of a house in the Al-Maghazi refugee Camp. The regime’s strikes also killed six civilians east of the southern city of Khan Yunis. Israeli forces also continued the siege of the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza for the 13th consecutive day, blocking civilians’ access to food and medicine. An earlier attack on a school, which sheltered the displaced people in the camp, killed nearly 30 Palestinians. The Israeli genocide in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 42,400 Palestinians so far, leaving over 99,200 others injured.

Israel's global threat

Iran’s UN ambassador has strongly rejected Israel’s claims that Tehran has violated international law and the United Nations Charter. Amir-Saeid Iravani says a regime infamous for persistent and blatant violations of international law lacks the moral authority to accuse other nations. He made the remarks in a letter to the UN chief and the Security Council’s president. Iravani defended Iran’s support for resistance groups as entirely legitimate under international law. He said resistance groups are engaged in a lawful struggle against Israel’s brutal occupation and Iran will continue to support them. The Iranian diplomat asserted that Israel’s actions are indisputable war crimes. He said the regime poses a grave threat to international peace and security while pushing the entire region to the brink of war. Iravani stressed that the time has come for the international community, and the Security Council in particular, to hold the Israeli regime accountable. He reiterated that Iran does not seek war, but is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression.
