Hezbollah: Resistance fire on Haifa, Safed and Acre ‘just the beginning’

Dozens of rockets from Lebanon make impact in the city of Acre (Akka) in northwestern Israel-occupied Palestine, on October 11, 2024.

A senior Hezbollah official describes the Lebanese resistance movement’s retaliatory strikes against major cities in the northern part of the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories as “just the beginning.”

Head of Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office, Hajj Mohammad Afif made the remarks to reporters on Friday concerning the strikes that targeted the cities of Haifa, Safed, and Acre (Akka).

“To the enemy, we say ‘you have only seen a portion of our capabilities,’” he added.

“The resistance is alive and strong, its strategic stockpile is intact, and there are thousands of fighters ready to be martyred in defense of Lebanon.”

Hezbollah has launched hundreds of retaliatory strikes against the occupied territories since last October, when the Israeli regime began intensifying its deadly attacks against Lebanon.

The attacks that have taken a deadlier turn over the past weeks have claimed the lives of more than 2,000 Lebanese people, including Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Addressing the issue of the Israeli aggression, Afif denounced the regime for targeting residential areas under the false pretext that they contain weapons depots.

He, meanwhile, considered the US embassy in the Lebanese capital Beirut to be “complicit and involved in the Israeli crimes against the civilians and the medics” in Lebanon.

The Hezbollah official finally lashed out at the United Nations and the international community for failing to take genuine action to stop the Israeli regime’s atrocities.

On Friday, Hezbollah announced targeting gatherings of Israeli forces in the settlements of Kfar Yuval and Margaliot in the occupied territories as well as two more gatherings in the vicinity of the village of Yaroun in southern Lebanon and the Rawia barracks in Syria’s Tel Aviv-occupied Golan Heights with rocket barrages and artillery shells.

A day earlier, Israeli media outlets had reported that the movement had fired around 200 rockets towards the northern part of the Israel-occupied Palestinian territories.
