The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has fired a barrage of missiles at an Israeli settlement near the city of Haifa.

In a statement on Tuesday, Hezbollah said it pounded the Krayot settlement north of Haifa at 12:30 pm local time and that the attack was carried out in response to the Israeli bombardment of cities, villages, and civilians in Lebanon.

The strike was also in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah stated.

The Israeli military has confirmed the strike, saying around 105 missiles were launched from southern Lebanon towards Haifa.

In a separate statement, Hezbollah said it has targeted a gathering of Israeli forces at the Al-Baghdadi site with squadron of attack drones at around 9:30 am, adding that it has hit the targets with precision.

Meanwhile, the National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli airstrikes targeted an area near Hiram Hospital in the southern town of Aabbasiyyeh.

The strike occurred during a funeral procession, NNA said, adding that no injuries were reported.

Israel has escalated its barbarism in Lebanon over the past weeks. The regime assassinated Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike on southern Beirut on September 27.
