Teenage Iranian table tennis player Benyamin Faraji has triumphed over the world number one, Wang Chuqin from China, in the 2024 Asian Table Tennis Championships.
The 14-year-old became the sensation of the international competitions held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday after he managed to crush Wang with a score of 3-2 in the quarter-finals.
The Iranian table tennis genius defeated Wang despite the fact that the 24-year-old Chinese player holds the gold medal in team and mixed doubles from the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Faraji is currently the highest-ranked junior table tennis player globally.
