14-year-old Iranian table tennis player makes history by defeating world number one from China

Teenage Iranian table tennis player Benyamin Faraji has triumphed over the world number one, Wang Chuqin from China, in the 2024 Asian Table Tennis Championships.

The 14-year-old became the sensation of the international competitions held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday after he managed to crush Wang with a score of 3-2 in the quarter-finals.

The Iranian table tennis genius defeated Wang despite the fact that the 24-year-old Chinese player holds the gold medal in team and mixed doubles from the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Faraji is currently the highest-ranked junior table tennis player globally.
