Demonstrators gathered in Tehran’s Palestine Square on Friday night to condemn the Israeli regime’s latest wave of aggression against Beirut.
Protesters chanted slogans such as “Down with Israel” and “Down with the US,” condemning the US-backed Israeli offensives.
Other cities also witnessed similar demonstrations earlier in the day following Friday Prayers.
In South Khorasan, citizens voiced their support for the oppressed Palestinian and Lebanese nations. Carrying Palestinian flags, the demonstrators took to the streets after Friday prayers to denounce the Israeli aggression.
Iranian poets in the northern city of Golestan also expressed their support for Gazans by reciting pro-Palestinian poems during the Friday prayer.
Protesters chanted “Down with the US” and “Down with Israel” in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
People in the northwestern city of Tabriz joined the nationwide rallies, voicing their outrage at Israeli authorities and showing support for the oppressed people of Gaza and Lebanon.
In the provinces of Fars and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, demonstrators waved Palestinian flags as they chanted anti-Israeli slogans, expressing anger at the ongoing Israeli aggression.
On Friday, Israeli warplanes struck at least six residential buildings in the Haret Hreik neighborhood of Beirut’s Dahiyeh suburb, killing at least eight people and wounding around 80 others. The attacks on Dahiyeh continued on Saturday.
Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon have intensified in recent days, killing over 700 people in the Arab country since Monday.
