Iraqi resistance hits north, south occupied Palestine with drones 'in support of Palestine, Lebanon'

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq hit Israeli targets with drones “in support of Palestine, Lebanon” on Saturday morning.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq says it has carried out new operations in the Israeli-occupied territories of Palestine, hitting the targets with drones “in support of Palestine, Lebanon.”

The umbrella group for Iraqi resistance fighters said in a statement on Saturday morning that in the first operation it “attacked a military target” in the north Palestine occupied by Israel.

“In continuation of our path in resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including children, women and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, on Saturday 28/09/2024, attacked a military target in the north of our occupied lands with drones,” the statement said.

The second operation struck a vital Israeli target in the southern occupied territories with drones.

“The fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, on Saturday 28/09/2024, attacked a vital target in the south of our occupied lands with drones,” the statement said.

The Iraqi resistance vowed it would continue striking the enemy's strongholds with increasing intensity.

In the third attack, "fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, at dawn on Saturday 28/09/2024, for the third time, attacked a vital target in the north of our occupied lands using drones."

On Friday, Iraqi fighters launched two drone attacks on military targets in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, in response to ongoing Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

The Golan Heights has been under Israeli control since a large-scale war in 1967 involving several regional Arab states, including Syria.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been conducting numerous such operations against sensitive targets lying across the occupied territories since October 7 last year, when the Israeli regime waged a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.

At least 41,534 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in the brutal Israeli military onslaught so far.

During recent months, the group has also carried out many operations against US bases in Iraq and neighboring Syria over Washington’s unbridled support for Israel’s crimes in Gaza.

On Friday, Israeli warplanes launched massive airstrikes on the southern suburb of Dahiyeh in Beirut, killing at least eight people and wounding around 80 others.

Hours after a new wave of Israeli airstrikes hit the Dahiyeh area.

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas called on “Arab and Islamic nations” to act and “reject this brutal aggression” by Israel against the brotherly people of Lebanon.

Hamas condemned the “Zionist escalation and aggression” against the people of Lebanon.
