Israel has killed 22 more Palestinians and injured at least 40 in the central and southern parts of the besieged Gaza Strip, Palestinian health officials say.
Six of the Palestinians, including three women, were killed in one strike targeting a house on Tuesday in the Nuseirat refugee camp, one of Gaza’s historic camps.
Israeli tanks advanced in northern and western Rafah. Palestinian resistance fighters responded with anti-tank rockets, planted bombs, and mortar fire.
Reports indicate Israeli forces targeted an ambulance near Nuseirat and bombarded a house in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Due to the full blockade imposed on Gaza since October last year, the Palestinian territory faces severe shortage of water, food, and medicine.
Al-Aqsa Hospital in southern Gaza is struggling to operate. Diseases would lead to indirect deaths among the Palestinians in Gaza, thereby adding to the death toll from Israel’s barbaric military attacks.
Palestinian doctors, quoted by Al Jazeera, said they are running out of essential medicines and supplies, with Israel continuing to block medical aid from entering Gaza.
Israeli strikes have sharply increased, hitting densely populated areas across central and northern Gaza, including in Beit Lahiya.
Israel has killed more than 41,400 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. Over 95,900 Palestinians have also been injured.
