Houthi: Yemeni forces will stand by Hezbollah resistance fighters in the fight against Israel

Leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement Abdul-Malik al-Houthi delivers a televised speech broadcast live from the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, on September 21, 2024.

The leader of the Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement says his country’s armed forces will stand by the side of Lebanese Hezbollah resistance fighters in the fight against the occupying Israeli regime, stressing that last week’s missile strike by Yemeni forces on an Israeli military target near Tel Aviv was ‘influential.’

“Our stance regarding continued support of Yemen for the resistance front remains solid and unshakable. We strive to provide the Palestinian nation with greater support. We stand by the side of all our Muslim brethren, Hezbollah resistance fighters as well as all freedom-loving people of the world,” Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said in a televised speech broadcast live from the Yemeni capital Sana’a on Saturday afternoon.

He added that the Yemeni missile attack that struck an Israeli military target near Tel Aviv on Saturday 15 was a major and influential operation that shook the Zionist enemy.

The Yemeni ballistic missile evaded Israeli interception and defense systems. It was a great achievement in terms of the fifth phase of escalation in support of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, Houthi noted.

He described the United States as the primary loser of the September 21 Revolution of 2014 against a Saudi-backed regime in Yemen, which removed it from power.

“Yemenis could achieve key objectives as a result of the revolution, which were restoration of freedom and independence. The US, Israel and their allies have resorted to all forms of aggression against our nation in recent years. Aggression against Yemenis since the September 21 Revolution has been wide-ranging, with aggressors committing the most heinous crimes and fully besieging the nation,” the Ansarullah chief pointed out.

He noted that Washington sought to restore its control over Yemen through its mercenaries, stressing that the US and its regional pawns tried to occupy and exploit the country and deprive Yemenis of their rights; but they failed.

The Ansarullah leader said, before the revolution, the US ambassador to Sana’a Matthew Tueller was the one who had the greatest influence in various official institutions and he was the first decision-maker.

He said now, Yemenis do not have any will dictated to them, neither by the Americans, nor by the Israelis or their agents, and they enjoy freedom, independence, pride, and dignity.

Houthi also reiterated Yemen’s support for Palestinians in the face of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. He said Yemen is seeking to further enhance support for Palestinians.

The Ansarullah leader also pointed to agricultural developments in Yemen and said the country has achieved an export surplus in many crops.

Earlier on Saturday, Yemeni Armed Forces staged a military parade at al-Sabeen Square in the capital Sana’a to mark the 10th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution and express solidarity with Palestinian and Lebanese nations amid Israeli atrocities.

The forces, clad in the traditional Yemeni attire, marched past the podium while carrying copies of the Holy Qur’an, their weapons as well as Yemeni and Palestinian flags.

They carried banners and signs affirming the Yemeni nation’s firm support for the Palestinian resistance front. The Yemeni forces also chanted pro-Palestine slogans.
