FM: Iran to be voice of heroic Palestinians, Lebanese against Israel at UN General Assembly

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi (L) and Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says the Islamic Republic will be the voice of heroic Palestinians and Lebanese, who are struggling against the occupying and criminal Israeli regime, in the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

“Upon arrival in New York City to participate in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, I consider it my Islamic and human duty to be the voice of the heroic people of Palestine and Lebanon against the aggressor and criminal Zionist regime,” Araghchi wrote in a message addressed to Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

He added that the vicious and bloodthirsty Tel Aviv regime, with its recent crimes and resorting to heinous and horrifying methods of terrorism and mass killing of human beings, proved once again that it does not abide by any international standards and regulations, and is seeking to achieve its illegitimate and occupying goals at the expense of jeopardizing regional and international peace and security.

Araghchi also extended his condolences to Nasrallah, Hezbollah officials and fighters, the Lebanese government and nation, and families of the victims over the assassination of senior Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Aqil alongside a number of companions in an Israeli attack on the Dahiyeh area in the southern suburbs of Lebanon’s capital Beirut on Friday.

“By the grace and help of God, efforts made by brave warriors of the Islamic resistance front in Palestine and Lebanon and throughout the West Asia region, and especially the global awakening against the barbaric crimes of Zionists in Gaza, the struggle and resistance against the Zionist regime aimed at the liberation of the Palestinian nation from occupation and aggression have continued more resolutely than ever, and heralds the liberation of the holy city of al-Quds,” the top Iranian diplomat stated.

Araghchi finally paid his affectionate tribute to the fallen warriors fighting in the path of God and prayed for the repose of their souls.
