Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly condemned the “terrorist attack” by the Israeli regime in Lebanon, which left at least nine people dead and thousands more injured.

In a phone call with his Lebanese counterpart, Abdallah Rashid Bouhabib, on Tuesday, Araghchi denounced the targeting of Lebanese citizens by Israel following the simultaneous explosion of thousands of wireless communication devices, known as pagers, used by Hezbollah members and others across Lebanon.

The top diplomat expressed his condolences and solidarity with the Lebanese government, people, and the families of the victims and the injured.

Araghchi also said that Iran was ready to provide any necessary assistance for the treatment of the injured or their transfer to Tehran for medical care.

He inquired about the condition of Iranian Ambassador Mojtaba Amani, who was among the 2,800 people injured in the mass explosions, and thanked Lebanon for providing immediate medical treatment to the ambassador.

Additionally, the foreign minister spoke on the phone with Amani’s wife and inquired about his condition. Araghchi again offered to facilitate the immediate transfer of the ambassador and other injured individuals to Iran if needed.

The ambassador's wife thanked the foreign minister for his concern and assured him that Amani is in good condition.

Meanwhile, Iranian Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi spoke with his Lebanese counterpart after the pager explosions, reiterating Iran's readiness to send medical aid to Lebanon.

Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand, president of the Red Crescent Society, confirmed that the IRCS was prepared to dispatch emergency medical teams to Lebanon to provide medical services and assist in transferring the injured to Iranian hospitals for specialized treatment.

Preliminary investigations by both Hezbollah and Lebanese officials indicate that the blasts were likely caused by a remote cyber attack orchestrated by the Israeli regime amid heightened tensions.

In a statement, Hezbollah said after reviewing all available information about the attacks, they hold the Israeli regime “fully responsible for this criminal aggression, which targeted civilians and resulted in the martyrdom of several individuals and injuries to many others.”

Hezbollah vowed to continue supporting the Palestinian resistance and declared that the “treacherous and criminal enemy will certainly be punished for this aggressive act.”
