Lebanon’s resistance movement Hezbollah has in a fresh round of strikes targeted several Israeli military sites with drones and missiles in retaliation for the occupying regime’s months-long aggression on Lebanese soil and in solidarity with Palestinians in the besieged Gaza.

Hezbollah announced the retaliatory attacks in separate statements on Sunday, saying that its fighters had struck Israel’s 188th Brigade in the Rawia barracks with dozens of Katyusha rockets in the north of the occupied territories.

“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli enemy’s attacks on the steadfast southern villages and safe homes… the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted the headquarters of the armored battalions of the 188th Brigade in the Rawia barracks with dozens of Katyusha rockets,” the statement said.

Hezbollah said in another statement that the popular resistance group had struck a technical system in the Malikiyah site in a drone attack, achieving a direct hit that led to its destruction.

Hezbollah fighters also targeted a position of Israeli soldiers in the Metulla site with drones, leaving an unspecified number of casualties.

The resistance movement had a day earlier struck the Galilee Division Reserve Base and its logistics depots at Ami’ad kibbutz in the north of the Israeli-occupied territories with dozens of Katyusha rockets.

‘Hezbollah also conducted a missile attack against an Israeli Merkava battle tank as it was moving along the Ruwaisat al-Alam-Zebdine road. The strike destroyed the tank and set it aflame.

Hezbollah and Israel have been trading fire since early October last year, shortly after the regime launched a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip following a surprise operation by Palestinian resistance groups.

The Lebanese movement has vowed to keep up its reprisal operations as long as the occupying regime continues its brutal Gaza onslaught, which has so far resulted in 41,182 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 95,280 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
