Algeria: presidential elections
On September 7, presidential elections were held in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, a country that managed to throw off the French colonial yoke 62 years ago.
These elections are of great importance, given the fact that they are taking place in a country that, since its independence, has made a great contribution to the anti-colonial and anti-imperialist movement.
