US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
Israel’s indiscriminate airstrikes and artillery fire keep pounding Gaza, killing dozens of Palestinians in fresh attacks on various areas. At least, 18 civilians, most of them women and children, were killed in an airstrike on a school used as shelter in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Several employees of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees were also among the victims. The attack was condemned by Hamas, which slammed the international community and the UN for failing to take action against Israeli crimes. Gaza saw other deadly strikes as well. A dozen Palestinians were killed in various neighborhoods of Gaza City, while 11 others lost their lives in a town near Khan Yunis. Four civilians were also killed in the southern city of Rafah. In a matter of 24 hours, Israeli attacks claimed the lives of 64 civilians, as the overall death toll nears 41,100.
Gaza ceasefire talks
The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas has reiterated its support for the ceasefire plan proposed by the US president, which was also upheld by the UN Security Council. The movement made the announcement in a statement after its top negotiator Khalil Al-Hayya met with Qatari prime minister and Egypt’s intelligence chief. Hamas added that it will not accept any new demands, and rejects any new conditions imposed on that agreement by any party. The movement reaffirmed its positive stance and flexibility to reach an agreement for a ceasefire in Gaza. Hamas said any agreement must include full withdrawal of Israeli forces from all areas of Gaza and a prisoner exchange deal. It also rejected any projects related to the post-war Gaza, stressing that the management of the Strip is a Palestinian internal affair to be agreed upon by all Palestinian groups.
Israel crimes in West Bank
Israeli forces have killed eight more Palestinians in airstrikes on two cities across the occupied West Bank. Five Palestinians lost their lives in an air raid on Tubas while three others were killed in a drone attack in Tulkarm. The regime’s forces and settlers have killed more than 700 Palestinians in West Bank since the genocidal war on Gaza started last October.
