Honoring people of African descent

As the world honors people of African descent, will Western powers pay reparations for the millions of African people sold into slavery, and for other colonial-era injustices inflicted on Africa? Despite all the adversities, the people of African Descent are rising with their brethren in Africa. With all the available potential, will Africans take their rightful place in global affairs?

For more on honoring people of African descent, we have contacted Lena Platt, the Co-author of Ants Will Come and Tell Me: A Chronicle of the Benn Family in Guyana's History. Also joining us in this discussion today is veteran journalist, Earl Bousquet. He is a Former Press Secretary to the Prime Minister of St. Lucia and the Chairman of the country's National Reparations Committee.
