The Israeli military has conducted a drone strike near the West Bank city of Jenin, killing three Palestinians on the third day of its aggression in the occupied territory.
WAFA news agency reported on Friday that Maysara Suleiman Masharqa, Arafat Jaser Amer, and Wissam Ayman Khazem were the victims of the Israeli strike in the town of Zababdeh.
During the attack, the report added, an Israeli drone fired missiles at the three men after they exited their vehicle, which had already been struck by heavy gunfire and later caught fire.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that the occupation forces prevented ambulances from reaching the scene.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army claimed that it had targeted “a cell of Palestinian gunmen” in the Zababdeh drone strike.
It further issued a joint statement with the Israeli police and Shin Bet spy agency, alleging that Khazem was the commander of Hamas’s military wing in Jenin.
In the early hours of Wednesday, the Israeli army conducted its biggest operation – dubbed “Camps of Summer” – in the West Bank in over 20 years, deploying hundreds of troops and airstrikes on Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas, which are major centers of Palestinian resistance against the usurping entity.
At least 20 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli raids and strikes in several towns, with many more sustained injuries. Eleven of them were killed in Jenin, five in Tulkarm and four in Tubas, WAFA reported, citing medical sources.

Bloody raids by Israeli forces and violence by settlers have surged in the West Bank since Israel launched a genocidal onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip in early October 2023.
Since then, the Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 40,602 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 93,855 others in Gaza.
It has also killed more than 660 Palestinians and injured about 5,400 in the West Bank during that same period.
