The Islamic Resistance in Iraq says it has struck “a vital target” during a retaliatory attack on an Israeli position in the occupied territories.

In a statement on Tuesday, the group said its fighters launched drone attacks on the port city of Haifa on Monday evening in support of the people of Palestine.

The Iraqi resistance group promised its strikes on the occupied territories would continue in support of the people of the Gaza Strip and Palestinian resistance groups as well.

Resistance groups across the region have started to target the positions of Israeli military forces since the regime launched its campaign of genocide in the besieged Gaza Strip in October 2023. They have so far managed to target several military bases in the occupied territories.

Iraq's resistance group has also stepped up its retaliatory attacks against the United States military bases across Iraq and neighboring Syria. Washington, a staunch ally of Tel Aviv, has sent 50,000 tons of arms and ammunition to Israel since October 7.
