8 Palestinians killed in fresh Israeli raids across occupied West Bank

As many as eight Palestinians have been killed in raids carried out by the Israeli regime’s military and illegal settlers across Tel Aviv-occupied West Bank.

On Monday, an Israeli drone strike targeted a house in the al-Manshiya neighborhood at the Nour Shams refugee camp near the city of Tulkarm in northwestern West Bank, resulting in the death of seven Palestinians there, Resistance News Network, a Telegram channel, reported.

The official Palestinian Wafa news agency said the fatalities included two teenagers, whom it identified as 15-year-old Adnan Ayser Jaber and 16-year-old Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Alian.

It also named another one of the victims as Jibril Ghassan Jibril, who was freed from Israeli captivity in a truce deal that was implemented between the regime and the Gaza Strip-based resistance movement Hamas last November.

The regime had accused Jibril of carrying out a number of shooting operations following his release, and subjected his family to numerous arrests to pressure him to turn himself in.

A number of others were also wounded during the raid, which saw the Israeli aircraft releasing several missiles against the targeted residence, Wafa added, citing its correspondent.

The Israeli military, however, alleged that it had struck “an operational center.”

Reacting to the massacre, Hamas called it “a new Zionist assassination operation” and “a desperate attempt to uproot the thorn of resistance that inflicts pain on the occupation through its qualitative operations.”

“We affirm that this fierce war waged by the occupation against our land and people will not bring the occupation security and stability. Instead, it will ignite the ground with fire under the feet of its soldiers and settlers,” the group added.

The Islamic Jihad, Hamas’ fellow Gaza-headquartered resistance movement, also said the bloodletting marked an effort by the regime to “shift the focus of its operations” from the coastal sliver to the West Bank.

It also said, “The increasing brutality and ferocity of Zionist crimes in the West Bank come as part of the [occupying] entity's attempt to cover up its failures” in Gaza and elsewhere.

Also on Monday, armed Israeli settlers attacked the village of Wadi Rahhal near the city of Bethlehem, killing a 37-year-old Palestinian, named as Khalil Salem Ziada, and wounding four others.

The deaths took to 651, the number of the Palestinians, who had been killed as a result of Israeli aggression across the West Bank since October 7, when the regime began bringing Gaza under a genocidal war.

At least 40,435 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed and 93,534 others wounded as a result of the war that was launched following a retaliatory operation staged by the Gaza’s resistance groups.
