US-Israeli Gaza genocide

It’s been another deadly day for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where the US-Israeli military machine is running amok. In the north, at least 8 civilians were killed in airstrikes on Gaza City. Another three lost their lives when a food stall was hit in the Jabalia refugee camp. In central Gaza, three people, including a child, were killed when Israeli warplanes targeted a residential apartment in the Maghazi camp. To the south of the besieged strip, 14 civilians, including a journalist, were killed as a result of the relentless bombing of Khan Yunis and Rafah. Since October 7, when the US-Israeli genocide began in Gaza, over 40,400 Palestinians are known to have been killed. Over 170 of them were journalists.

Israel evacuation orders

The United Nations says humanitarian work in the Gaza Strip has been impeded after Israel ordered a new evacuation in the center of the besieged territory. The UN humanitarian office said the evacuation order for Deir el-Balah has effectively upends a whole lifesaving humanitarian hub that was set up in the city. This, as the UN and NGO staff had to move into Deir el-Balah following another evacuation order for Rafah city back in May. The new order affected 15 premises hosting UN and NGO aid workers, UN warehouses, a water desalination plant and medical facilities. Al-Aqsa hospital, one of a few still operating in Gaza, was also affected. The evacuation order came as the UN has been planning to conduct mass vaccination after the first polio case in Gaza in 25 years.

Israel West Bank atrocities

Five Palestinians have been killed in an attack by Israeli forces on the Nur Shams refugee camp near the city of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank. The Palestine Health Ministry said a number of Palestinians were also injured during the attack. Reports indicate that a house in the camp was targeted by several missiles launched from an Israeli drone. The Hamas resistance movement strongly condemned the deadly Israeli raid as an extension of the regime’s crimes and massacres in Gaza. It added that Israel’s brutalities will not bring it security and stability, but will further fuel resistance operations. Another Palestinian man was also killed in a raid by Israeli settlers in the Wadi Rahal village, south of Bethlehem, which left three others injured. The new fatalities increased the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces and settlers across the West Bank since last October to 651.
