A massive Palestinian flag was unfurled on Madrid's iconic Toledo Bridge on Sunday as hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters gathered to express solidarity with civilians in Gaza and demand an immediate ceasefire.

Footage shows demonstrators atop the bridge, waving the massive flag of Palestine and chanting pro-Palestine slogans. Demonstrators gathered below the bridge chimed in, brandishing Palestinian flags, scarves, and banners representing various nations, amplifying their message of peace and justice.

"This is one more action, which links all those we have been carrying out since October 7, to denounce a genocide that is being broadcast live to the world, with the world standing by impassively. With daily massacres, with an average of more than 100 dead per day, 70 percent of them children, women and civilians," said a protester.

"They are destroying the school, the houses, the infrastructure, the universities, everything. They are killing the humanity," added another.

A third supporter emphasized the urgency of the situation, warning that the 'disaster' faced by Palestinians 'can happen anywhere else if we turn a blind eye.'

This rally was organized by the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement, a Palestinian-led initiative, alongside the Palestinian-Hispanic Association Jerusalem, under the slogan 'Let’s Stop the Genocide,' aiming to raise awareness and galvanize global support for the urgent need for peace in the region.
