Iran’s U17 Greco-Roman wrestlers clinch world championship in Jordan

Iran's Under-17 Greco-Roman Wrestling Team

Iran’s Under-17 Greco-Roman Wrestling Team dominated the World Championships in Jordan, securing 3 gold and 3 bronze medals to claim the world title.

The junior wrestling world championships took place from August 19 to 21 in Jordan's capital, Amman.

Iran successfully defended its title from the previous season, once again finishing first in the world by winning the six medals.

The gold medals were claimed by Armin Shamsipour (48 kg), Amir Mahdi Saeidi Nava (65 kg), and Danial Izadi (92 kg). 

The bronze medals were earned by Abolfazl Karami (51 kg), Emadreza Mohsen-Nejad (80 kg), and Ali Asghar Dadbakhsh (110 kg).

In the team rankings, Iran emerged as the champion with 140 points, while Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan secured second and third places with 113 and 105 points, respectively.
