Hezbollah bombs Israel’s Mount Neria base
The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah says it has bombed Israel’s Mount Neria base with a barrage of Katyusha rockets.
Hezbollah said in a statement that it attacked “the ‘Mount Neria’ base (a battalion headquarters currently occupied by forces from the Golani Brigade) with barrages of Katyusha rockets,” on Tuesday evening.
According to Hezbollah, the rocket attack was aimed at showing the Lebanese movement’s support for Palestinians in Gaza. It was carried out “in response to the attack and assassination carried out by the Israeli enemy in the town of Baraachit.”
Israeli media also reported on Tuesday that some 40 rockets were fired from Lebanon toward areas in Western Galilee in the northern occupied territories.
Hezbollah also targeted an Israeli military position in the northern occupied territories on Monday.
It said that the operation was carried out in response to Israel’s attacks on civilian areas in southern Lebanon, particularly in the town of Maaroub.
According to the Israeli regime’s media, Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system was unable to intercept most of Hezbollah’s missiles.
The attack caused a huge fire in the western part of Galilee north of the occupied territories.
The Israeli regime has been conducting near-daily attacks against the southern parts of Lebanon since October 7, when it launched a genocidal war on Gaza.
Hezbollah has been responding with strikes aimed both at retaliating against the regime and supporting the war-hit Gazans.
