Jewish MP condemns Israel’s aggression against Iranian soil

The Jewish community’s representative in the Iranian parliament Homayoun Sameh Yah Najafabadi has condemned Israel’s aggression against Iranian soil.

In an interview with Press TV on Sunday, the lawmaker said that the Islamic Republic should deliver a proportionate response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.

He said Iran’s Jewish community and representatives of holy religions condemned Israel’s assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, and “the aggression against the Iranian soil and territorial integrity.”

“And they called for proportionate response to this crime against the Zionists,” he added.

The Israeli regime on Wednesday morning killed Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Hamas resistance movement.

Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new Iranian president.

The Hamas chief was assassinated along with his bodyguard, identified as Wasim Abu Shaaban.

Najafabadi said that Israel seeks to escalate tensions in the West Asia region by assassinating the Hamas chief.

“Iran should deliver a proportionate response to Israel’s assassination of Ismail Haniyeh,” he said.

“The response should be such that the regime should not dare to launch an aggression against Iran’s territorial integrity again,” he stated.

Najafabadi said that the Zionist regime’s actions are fully at odds with the holy religion of Judaism.

“Jewish community condemns Israel’s crimes in Gaza Strip,” he added.

He said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “should be punished for crimes committed in Gaza.”

The Israeli aggression on Gaza, which began last October has so far claimed the lives of nearly 40,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, and injured more than 91,000 others.

The murder of Haniyeh was followed by another assassination by the Zionist regime that targeted Fuad Shukr, a senior commander of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, in Beirut.
