Hundreds joined a pro-Palestine rally outside Sydney Town Hall on Saturday demanding Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese speak for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Footage shows protesters using loudspeakers and drums attempting to interrupt the Labour Party's New South Wales state conference.
Protesters were also seen waving Palestine flags and carrying placards among others reading: 'Albanese blood on your hands cut ties with Israel now', and 'Albo accessory to genocide'.
"The way that [Australia's Prime Minister Anthony] Albanese has spoken, it's been with a forked tongue. He will say something, nothing concise. It'll just be a blur. It'll be spin. I believe, I mean, I haven't seen that particular report (call for a ceasefire), but from previous, it's, I think he's saying what people [want to hear]. I wish he would stand up and have some spine for Palestine," said one protester.
According to reports, during the conference Prime Minister Albanese emphasized the Labour party's accomplishments in addressing domestic issues, yet did not comment on the conflict in Gaza.
