Russia downs 36 drones, HIMARS rockets; Ukraine reports 69 battles
Russia's Defense Ministry reported on Monday that Russian air defense forces had shot down a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 aircraft, 36 unmanned aerial vehicles and five rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system over the past day.
The ministry also said that Russian troops at multiple front lines destroyed Ukrainian army's equipment and facilities, including tanks and other armored combat vehicles, howitzers, a counterbattery radar station and ammunition depots.
On the same day, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 69 battles at the front lines over the past day, noting that the situation was tense in particular in the Pokrovsk area.
The General Staff said the situation in the Kharkov Region was still under Ukrainian control, and Russian forces launched three attacks in the Lyman area during the past 24 hours.
