Pakistan’s Shia Ulema Council threatens protests against govt.

On Friday, the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars in Pakistan, or Shia Uleama Council held a conference at the Karachi Press Club, raising serious concerns about security, power outages, and missing persons.

The council issued a stern warning to the Sind government, threatening widespread protests if their demands are not met before the mourning season of Muharram and Safar.
