Millions of Iranians swarm polling booths to elect new president

Huge turnout was witnessed in the runoff election as millions of Iranians came out to cast their ballot a week after none of the candidate’s secured outright majority. 

Masoud Pezeshkian and Saeed Jalili emerged as front runners on June 28 snap election that was called after the unexpected death of former President Ebrahim Raeisi in a helicopter crash.
