The Gaza Strip's Health Ministry has issued an announcement, warning its hospitals will face shutdown within 48 hours.
Health facilities across the Palestinian territory will cease to operate within days due to "depletion of fuel required for operating generators, which Israel restricts from entering Gaza," the Health Ministry announced on Sunday.
The ministry announced that “the remaining hospitals, health centers, and oxygen stations will stop working within 48 hours.”
The ministry noted that the Israeli regime forces not only restrict water, food and fuel from entering Gaza, but also, "other essential supplies such as medicine" are blocked to Gaza.
The ministry said the fuel supply is nearly depleted, "despite the stringent austerity measures implemented to conserve the remaining stock for as long as possible, given the insufficient quantities available for operation."
It called on "all relevant international and humanitarian organizations to promptly intervene by supplying the required fuel, as well as electrical generators and necessary spare parts for maintenance."
The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza said that the hospital would cease operations imminently due to the fuel supply shortage for its electrical generators.
Hossam Abu Safiya warned, “If fuel isn't secured within hours, we will be forced to announce the closure of the sole hospital in northern Gaza, risking the lives of patients, including children in the pediatric ward."
In the meantime, despite the UN Security Council demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the Israeli regime continues its genocidal war against the Palestinian people trapped in the besieged Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, aiming for the complete eradication of Hamas.
Till now, the Israeli regime's attacks have killed some 37,800 Palestinian people, most of them innocent children and defenseless women.
The Zionist forces also reduced most of the Palestinian homes, offices, schools and other buildings to ruins amid the inhumane blockade of food, water, power and medicine.
The International Court of Justice is currently investigating the charges levied against Tel Aviv culminating in War Crimes and Crime Against Humanity, Genocide included.
