Israeli espionage devices destroyed, military hardware struck in Hezbollah attacks

Fighters from the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement have carried out two separate operations against espionage equipment and military gear stationed at Israeli outposts close to the border between the Arab country and the 1948 occupied territories.

Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news channel reported that the fighters carried out an operation on Saturday afternoon against the Misgav Am base in the Upper Galilee region, and fired a salvo of artillery shells at the site.

The strike targeted surveillance devices at the military site and destroyed them.

The group stated that the operation came in solidarity with steadfast Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and in support of valiant and honorable resistance fighters standing up to the Israeli onslaught.

Hezbollah fighters also struck a Merkava battle tank and a Namer heavy armored personnel carrier (APC) at the Ruwaisat al-Alam site in Kafr Shuba Hills with a number of guided missiles, and destroyed them.

Mikati: Israeli threats are psychological warfare

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati has described Israeli threats to launch a war on the Arab nation as “psychological warfare”.

“During all junctures, we reiterate that the army is the supporter and the nation’s guardian par excellence,” Mikati said.

“The threats that we are witnessing are a form of psychological warfare, and the question that everyone is asking is whether there will be a war. Yes, we are in a state of war and there are large numbers of civilian and non-civilian martyrs and a lot of destroyed villages due to the Israeli aggression,” the prime minister added.

Hezbollah has been carrying out almost daily rocket attacks on Israeli positions in retaliation for the regime’s aggression against Lebanon and in solidarity with Palestinians.

The genocidal campaign in Gaza has killed at least 37,834 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, since early October.

At least 480 people have also been killed on the Lebanese border, including 93 civilians, according to a tally by AFP.

Two Israeli wars against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006 were met with strong resistance from Hezbollah, resulting in the retreat of the regime in both conflicts.
