The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance forces have conducted a strike against Israeli military positions in the northern side of the 1948 occupied territories in retaliation for a deadly attack on a town in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon's al-Manar television channel, citing a Hezbollah statement, reported that the resistance group targeted the gatherings of Israeli soldiers and their logistics in Metula town on Wednesday morning, with a squadron of combat drones.

The statement added that the attack hit the designated targets precisely.

Hezbollah said that the operation was conducted in reprisal for an Israeli drone strike that targeted a car in Lebanon’s southern town of Borgholiya, killing a man.

Lebanese media outlets identified the victim as Mohammed Yousef al-Hassan, a Palestinian refugee living in Qasimia camp near the Tyre district.

Earlier, missiles launched by Hezbollah had hit an Israeli military factory.

Hezbollah said that its Falaq (Dusk) rockets hit the Plasan facility located in Sasa kibbutz, which is about 2 miles from the Israeli border with Lebanon.

The Plasan firm reportedly makes vehicle-protection products and components, and it also operates factories in France and the United States. The company reports that a large majority of its wares are exported to the US military.

Hezbollah has been carrying out almost daily rocket attacks on Israeli positions in retaliation for the regime’s aggression against Lebanon and in solidarity with Palestinians.

The genocidal war in Gaza has killed at least 37,372 Palestinians, predominantly women and children so far.

At least 455 people have also been killed on the Lebanese border, including more than 80 civilians, according to a tally by AFP.

Two Israeli wars waged against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006 were met with strong resistance from Hezbollah, resulting in the retreat of the regime in both conflicts.
