Hezbollah: Lebanon prepared for full-scale war if 'Israel' wills it

Sheikh Naim Qassem, deputy chief of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement

A senior Hezbollah official warns that Israel will "face devastation and destruction" if it moves to expand the war against Lebanon.

Sheikh Naim Qassem, deputy chief of Lebanon’s resistance movement, said on Tuesday that Hezbollah is not after the expansion of conflict with Israel but remains ready in the face of any imposed war.

Sheikh Qassem said the resistance group is “ready for the battle and will not allow Israel to secure any victories.”

He warned that any expansion of war by Israel will be met “with devastation and destruction” in the occupied territories.

“If Israel wants to fight an all-out war, we are ready for it,” he stated.

The remarks came after Hezbollah on Tuesday launched a squadron of drones against an Israeli military barracks for a second consecutive day.

The resistance movement has launched several operations against Israel in support of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah attacks on Israeli military and espionage sites have forced the regime to evacuate tens of thousands of people from areas close to the Lebanese border with no prospect in sight for them to return.

The attacks have also inflicted a significant number of casualties on the regime with some estimates suggesting some 500 Israeli soldiers have been either killed or wounded in the strikes.

Israel has also launched attacks on southern Lebanon over the past months, killing hundreds of civilians, including Hezbollah fighters.

Israel waged a genocidal war on Gaza on October 7 after the Hamas resistance movement carried out its historic operation against the usurping entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

On May 7, the occupying regime began a ground offensive in Rafah, home to about a million displaced Palestinians who have fled from the rest of Gaza amid the Israeli onslaught.

So far, Israel has killed at least 36,550 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 82,627 others in the Gaza Strip.
