Rome police fire tear gas as clashes erupt during pro-Palestine rally

Police officers and demonstrators were seen clashing during a pro-Palestine demonstration in Rome on Saturday.

Footage shows protesters running into police officers while carrying a large banner. Police officers can be seen pushing back protesters and firing tear gas to disperse the demonstration.

The protest took place as at least 36,379 Palestinians, mostly children and women, have been killed and 82,407 people wounded in the war that Israel began last October following a retaliatory operation by the Palestinian territory’s resistance movements.
