Several protesters were detained outside the Texas State Capitol in Austin during a pro-Palestine rally.
Hundreds gathered to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and to demand action against police violence targeting pro-Palestinian demonstrations.
Footage shows protesters chanting 'let them go' as police detain several protesters during the rally.
Some can also be seen chanting anti-police slogans. Footage also shows protesters marching and chanting while holding up signs, banners and Palestinian flags.
"None of us here are intimidated, we are very well organized. This is a peaceful protest, it's up to the police to say how they respond which we don't know because of the current state of repression, of our freedom of speech," said one protester, Jace Gutierrez.
The demonstration follows weeks of mass arrests and clashes at pro-Palestinian rallies across the US calling for the government and educational institutions to cut ties with Israel.
"It's an intimidation tactic that the state is using that is not working on us. These empty threats of arrests are meant to be just threats and we recognize it for what it is," said Harina Houffa, another demonstrator.
