Slamming Biden remarks

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has condemned a recent statement by the US president linking the end of the war on Gaza to the release of Israeli captives. Hamas called Joe Biden’s remarks a setback to Gaza ceasefire talks, and a proof of Washington’s biased support for the regime. The US president said on Saturday that a ceasefire would be possible tomorrow if Hamas released captives. Hamas said the US stance runs counter to negotiations, which led to the resistance movement’s acceptance of a ceasefire proposal put forth by mediators. The group stressed that it has been flexible during the negotiations and it is Israel that has been trying to sabotage the peace process. The group said Biden’s statement is the latest attempt to cover up Israel’s ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.

Hezbollah retaliation

Lebanon’s Hezbollah has carried out fresh operations against Israel's military positions. The resistance movement launched a drone strike on the Beit Hillel base in northern occupied Palestinian territories. The base itself and the Iron Dome platforms were hit there. The Iron Dome platforms came under another drone attack minutes after the first strike. A video released by Hezbollah shows an explosion at the Israeli site. The resistance movement also hit Israel’s Ramya military site located near Lebanon’s southern border. Hezbollah and Israel have been trading fire since the regime began its genocidal onslaught on Gaza.

Israeli crimes

An international rights group has revealed that Israeli forces used three children as human shields during their raids on an area in the occupied West Bank earlier this month. The Defense for Children International made the revelation based on testimonies of those children. They described how the regime’s soldiers forced them to walk ahead of them as they searched through the Tulkarm refugee camp on May 5 and 6. In two of those cases, Israeli soldiers placed their rifles on the children’s shoulders. The kids also recounted how their homes were stormed. Human rights organizations have for multiple times reported Israel’s use of Palestinian civilians as human shields during their incursions into the occupied territories. This comes as the Israeli military has intensified its crackdown on Palestinians in the West Bank since the start of the Gaza genocide early last October.
