On Friday, a new national transport strike caused major disruptions in several Italian cities, including Rome, Milan and Naples. The four-hour industrial action, called by the trade union Faisa Confail, affected local bus, metro and tram services, with strike timetables varying from city to city. The strike coincided with the super long weekend of April 25th or Liberation Day, a time when tourists flock to Italian cities.
