The UK parliament has passed legislation that allows the government to deport desperate asylum seekers to the east African country of Rwanda. The UK government claims the law is aimed at deterring immigrants arriving on British shores on small boats from France. The Scottish National Party in the British legislature has branded the legislation as “tantamount to state-sponsored people trafficking”.
