Mar. 17: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Amid Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed more than 31,700 Palestinians so far, including at least 14,500 children, resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against the Tel Aviv regime and its Western backers.

The major operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Sunday, March 17, are as follows: 

Al-Quds Brigades’ operations on Mar. 17:

• Shot down Israeli military’s "Sky Lark" drone belonging while it was carrying out spying operations, east of Gaza City.
• Shelled the positions of Israeli regime soldiers, east of the central Gaza Strip, with a barrage of mortar shells.
• Shot dead an Israeli regime soldier, southwest of Gaza City.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades operations on Mar. 17:

• Carried out 14 operations in the past 48 hours, including engaging in fierce clashes and targeting Israeli army vehicles with mortar shells on the axes in the Gaza Strip, resulting in multiple casualties.
• In a joint operation with the forces of Martyr Omar al-Qassim Brigades, shelled gatherings of Israeli forces in the south of Gaza City with short-range rockets.
• Shelled a gathering of Israeli regime soldiers and their military vehicles, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, with mortar shells.
• Shelled the positions of Israeli soldiers with heavy caliber mortar shells on the axis east of the central Gaza Strip.
• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces, using appropriate weapons, on the axis of Khan Younis city in southern Gaza.

Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces’ operations on Mar. 17:

• Shelled the Israeli army site "Netzarim" with several mortar shells.
• Shelled Israeli army positions, northeast of Juhr al-Dik, using short-range rockets, achieving direct hits and causing heavy damage.
• In a joint operation with the Mujahideen Brigades, Saraya Al-Quds, and Al-Husseini Groups, targeted Israeli army positions south of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood with a barrage of B-107 caliber rockets, causing heavy losses.

Hezbollah’s operations on Mar. 17:

Eastern sector:

• At around 02:20 local time, Israeli soldiers near Wazzani town were targeted with appropriate weapons.
• At around 12:50 local time, the Metulla site was targeted with appropriate weapons.
• At around 14:00 local time, surveillance equipment at the Al-Assi site was targeted with machine guns.
• At around 15:30 local time, the Al-Marj site was targeted with artillery shells.
• At around 15:30 local time, the Al-Samaqa site in Kfar Shuba was targeted with missiles.

Western sector:

• At around 15:15 local time, Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Mitat Barracks were targeted with missiles.
• At around 18:30 local time, Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Hanita site were targeted with missiles.
• At around 20:30 local time, Israeli vehicles were targeted with artillery shells as they entered the Al-Malikiyah site.
