Severe weather has wreaked havoc across parts of the Midwest, with suspected tornadoes touching down in several small towns in Indiana and nearby states on Thursday.

Multiple homes were damaged, and residents had to deal with widespread damages on homes and vehicles as well as many downed trees and power lines.

The storm system extended beyond Indiana, impacting northern Kentucky and Central Ohio, where multiple tornado warnings were issued.

The storms were part of a night of violent weather that stretched from northeast Texas to Ohio.

Santa Ana winds also caused significant damage in the San Fernando Valley, California, with scenes of crushed cars and toppled trees.
