The sudden release of the genocidal Alberto Fujimori sentenced to 25 years in prison for crimes committed during his presidency at the hands of the coup government led by Dina Boluarte symbolizes, in many ways, the culmination of the continuity pact between two generations of human rights violators, all at the service of the same violent, racist and classist oligarchy that has historically dominated the Andean country.
