The International Court of Justice has issued a preliminary ruling on a genocide case brought by South Africa against the Israeli regime.
The UN top court has ordered Israel to take all measures necessary to prevent genocide in the Gaza Strip. The World Court also called on Israel to prevent and punish incitement of genocide against Palestinian people by Israeli officials and political figures. Palestinians have welcomed the ruling as an important development that is in favor of humanity and international law. The ICJ, however, has failed to call for a ceasefire in the besieged and war-torn Palestinian territory.
